This year, Destiny 2 released what arguably was the best expansion ever for the game and the franchise as a whole in the form of The Final Shape, reaching an all-time high on multiple fronts - including community morale and player numbers. However, multiple controversies tied to either Bungie as a company or the game itself started to make it hard for Destiny 2 releases to shine. Episode 1's reception was lukewarm, but the bigger issues came with Revenant.
