  1. An expected part of any Atlus game is a diverse cast of characters that players will grow to know over the course of the game, and Metaphor: ReFantazio is no different. Building bonds with the protagonist's Followers is a core part of Metaphor: ReFantazio—much like the Social Link mechanic of the Persona series before it—allowing players to get to know the game's cast on a deeper level. While Metaphor does a great job of fleshing out these Followers, one in particular feels strangely reminiscent of another Atlus IP. View the full article
  2. World of Warcraft is making big changes to the Hunter class in Patch 11.1, with pets being able to change specializations, Beast Mastery giving players the option to only use one pet, and Marksmanship losing their pet altogether. Assuming none of these adjustments are tweaked in response to fan feedback beforehand, Hunters in World of Warcraft will see these changes in Patch 11.1, likely some time in February. 3. At 96%, Andor has one of the highest Rotten Tomatoes scores of any Star Wars live-action TV show, but a new report has revealed it also has one of the highest budgets. View the full article
  4. Jujutsu Kaisen’s epilogue chapter was recently revealed with the release of the final volume of the series, and it is safe to say that it added quite a bit to the already exciting ending. Fans got a 16-page epilogue that focused on multiple characters, such as Ozawa, Nobara, Panda, and of course, even the likes of Sukuna. Gege surprised readers with the final volume, and it is safe to say that it certainly elevated certain parts of the story, while raising more intrigue about others. View the full article

  6. But now, as JoBlo reported, the showrunner has shared a brief update. View the full article
  7. The Dead Space franchise could have a tough road ahead of it, as original creator and director Glen Schofield recently confirmed that EA rejected a pitch for a fourth mainline game. Since the first game released in 2008, Dead Space and its successors have gained a reputation as being some of the best horror titles of the 21st century. After the first game was remade and launched last year, many longtime fans were hoping that interest in the franchise had been reignited, but that appears to not be the case. View the full article
  8. In case it isn't clear from the premise or the story itself, pirates are the central faction of the entire One Piece series. The narrative follows the Straw Hats but every single pirate crew in the series functions around the same parameters, with each character filling a certain niche or specialization within it. Without the inclusion of these characters to fit their roles, a pirate crew wouldn't be the same. View the full article
  9. The 2024 update to Dungeons and Dragons 5e has seemingly come with intentions of maintaining the existing system against mostly minor tweaks, but the general direction of its adjustments veer towards a clear vision for the game's future. Despite familiar core systems that aren't altered enough to justify a new edition entirely, the layers of depth added to magic in particular already have the potential to define this era. The reliance on this side of Dungeons and Dragons has become a mounting criticism, but continuing to embrace new spell offerings and expand on the fantastical could be turned into a strength as time passes. 13. Strong Female heroes in games are abundant, but what about Female Villains? Here's where we separate simple sidekicks from real life-threatening entities that are considered some of the most dangerous beings in the gaming universe. Some of them prefer a more subtle approach, while others represent the embodiment of feminity and power, stepping over the male protagonists as if they were mere toys to play with. 15. Ethereals are getting a big facelift in World of Warcraft Patch 11.1, with players datamining dozens of new models for the mummy-like energy beings. While this only proves that the Ethereals will be playing some kind of role in World of Warcraft in the near future, some fans are hoping it means they could eventually become an allied race at some point during the Worldsoul Saga. 16. The Team-Up feature in Marvel Rivals provides the 6v6 hero shooter with some of its most thrilling opportunities mid-match. Ultimates may be where a lot of characters demonstrate how overpowered they can be, but a team synergy composed of Heroes who are collaborating with one another can be what secures most points and earns them the victory. Some characters don’t receive an additional ability during their Team-Up and simply provide it to other characters, so of course it is situational and not everyone will want to play a certain character if only to activate that niche power-up. 17. HBO's new science fiction series Dune: Prophecy has wrapped up its first season, already being greenlit for a second. Heading into the final episode, tension at court has ramped up. Seeing Javicco slipping, Mother Superior Valya Harkonnen (Emily Watson) turns to Sister Francesca, a Bene Gesserit and Javicco's former lover. Francesca's presence shakes everything up as Season 1 of Dune: Prophecy concludes. View the full article

In terms of flexibility in gaming, no other platform can match the PC. The hardware comes with many advantages for those who can overcome the often-daunting price of setting up a computer. As a bonus, while consoles require a subscription fee for online gaming, the majority of PC games can be played online without any additional cost. Regardless, many people find the most enjoyment in offline PC games. View the full article
  19. An Animal Crossing: New Horizons player has recreated the iconic shower scene from Chris Columbus’ 1992 Christmas movie Home Alone 2: Lost in New York. The scene in question features Macaulay Culkin’s Kevin McCallister fooling Tim Curry’s Mr. Hector into thinking the boy’s father is showering with music playing in the background, instead of staying in the lavish Plaza Hotel himself. New Horizons’ slew of cosmetics and expressive avatars are varied enough to recreate several pop culture scenes with added comical value. View the full article
  20. Pokemon Pocket brings the excitement of collecting and playing Pokemon cards into the digital realm, successfully capturing key elements of the physical trading card game. One standout feature it replicates is the Paralyzed effect, which only a select few Pokemon can use. For a detailed breakdown of this Special Condition, including how it works, how to cure it, and tips for building a deck around it, keep reading our comprehensive guide. View the full article
  21. Though anyone may have their personal thoughts on which is the best, the Marvel Ultimate Alliance games are all quite different for at least a few reasons between each installment. The original Marvel Ultimate Alliance is a bonafide classic to many and features a wealth of witty, lovable charm, including trivia consoles in each act. The sequel thankfully reprised trivia, but Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order is a completely different game in many ways. If Marvel Ultimate Alliance finds some means of coming back after a couple of dicey lapses and wishes to capture the original’s lightning in a bottle, trivia should be a high priority. 22. It's no secret that Project Zomboid is a difficult game, and while playing it with other people makes the game a little easier, getting overwhelmed by zombies and survival needs are still very real. However, if you're the type who wants to learn without any pressure, or if you're trying to corral your friends into one spot (or make things worse for them), you can use some admin commands to make some magic happen. 23. Innumerable clips have now shown how Doctor Strange players in Marvel Rivals have conjured portals at the beginning of matches to trick opponents into unknowingly leaping out of bounds and KOing themselves. This will be edged out of most Marvel Rivals matches aside from the rare occurrence when a Doctor Strange player is attempting to be cheeky, and with more players learning about it daily—perhaps the hard way through experience themselves—they aren’t likely to fall for it much longer. 24. A Fallout fan has shared a fantastic discovery with the RPG’s community, showcasing a statue of Walton Goggins’ The Ghoul from Amazon Prime’s series. Thanks to Fallout’s in-depth lore and rich world-building, the team of creatives behind the adaptation, including creators Graham Wagner and Geneva Robertson-Dworet, managed to flesh out their original ideas while still staying true to the source material, and giving an expansive narrative to one of the game’s Ghouls has proven to be one of the show’s strong points. 25. The characters in The Witcher franchise continuously grow in power over the long timeline that spans the books, shows, and video games. By the most recent game, The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt, the main characters have hit their peak strength and show it off.
