An anime adaptation of My Hero Academia: Vigilantes was officially announced during Jump Festa ’25. The series will begin airing in April 2025. A new trailer and key visual were also revealed as part of the announcement. Check out both below:

My Hero Academia Season 8‘s air date for Fall 2025 was also announced as part of the series’ stage event. Vigilantes is a spin-off series that also serves as the prequel to the original My Hero Academia story written and illustrated by Kohei Horikoshi.
The My Hero Academia: Vigilantes anime adaptation will mark the franchise’s sixth anime project following the main series and four original movies. My Hero Academia Season 8 is set to release in 2025 and will mark the final instalment in the main anime series.
My Hero Academia: Vigilantes is written by Hideyuki Furuhashi with illustrations by Betten Court and original concept by Horikoshi. The manga began serialization in Jump GIGA in 2018 until it was later transferred to Shonen Jump+ the same year. The series came to an end in July 2022 with chapter 126 (Volume 15). VIZ Media licensed the series in English and has published all 15 volumes as well.
