The Apothecary Diaries

In the imperial court of ancient China, a 17-year-old girl named Maomao has been working as a low-level servant in the emperor's palace for several months after being kidnapped. Despite her circumstances, she maintains her inquisitive and practical nature, intending to serve until her indenture ends. When she learns that the emperor's infants are seriously ill, she decides to intervene covertly, relying on her background as a pharmacist from the impoverished red-light district.
